College has been the centre for every type of higher education and learning . Students travel hundreds and thousands of kilometres just to obtain learning from these colleges.  

But since the internet has been introduced , education and gaining knowledge with appropriate degrees and certificates have become easy. Not to mention since the pandemic has started almost everything related to education is solely dependent on online and distance learning . 

Meanwhile , almost everything is dependent on the internet , we have a delusion that almost anything we find on the internet is correct and hundred percent true, which is a higher issue of concern. Because the information found on the internet is not fully accurate , it can cause trouble and interrupt an individual’s studies .

Education and learning methods may have become easy and more convenient but the traditional teaching and learning methods have their own superior value. It’s all about the closure and personal interaction with your teachers and mentors. For example , a person doing Phd from a regular university has higher chances of getting employed than the one with distance learning . The reason behind is that the person attending regular college and classes have a face to face closure as well as hands on practice with their research for their thesis. Also , teachers being our mentors have a great impact on our behaviour and lifestyle when we are about to step foot in the employment field. The way an individual maintains his/her decoram , behaviour with fellow classmates , discipline and basic classroom manners says a lot about the personality of that person .

Similarly , a person doing distance open learning will not be able to properly concentrate on his major having more on his plate than he could handle . 

Learning and knowledge is everywhere. It comes in many ways and it’s not limited to our colleges or universities ,it’s all around us . We may learn , discover and flourish from it . We just have to look and observe.  

As much as these new technologies have made learning easier , it is equally important to have personal exposure for that particular knowledge from a particular field . 

To say colleges are becoming obsolete will be a very false statement because we know knowledge is power and it can come in any way . Through the internet ,  schools , colleges , any type of institute , our surroundings , our home or from anywhere. A person’s mind and brain cannot be judged from what type of college he has attended. It may have its benefits , but an individual having his/her common sense and an enthusiasm to learn and obtain knowledge with enough excitement intact , can excel irrespective of their college’s name , fame or teaching ways . 

A college can upgrade their teaching methods and still an individual may lack in qualities and fail to obtain a job or career in that field because that person is lacking in his aims and goals. 

A person with the right mind and the will to learn only needs the right direction , the path is to be created by him and him only .
