1. Chhatrapati Shahu Institute of Business Education and Research, Kolhapur:
Chhatrapati Shahu Institute of Business Education and Research (CSIBER), Kolhapur, Maharashtra was established in 1976. It is a private institute, recognized by UGC and affiliated with Shivaji University. It has been accredited A+ by NAAC. It offers full-time PG courses such as MBA, MCA, M.Sc, MSW, M.Com, and a PG Diploma. Additionally, CSIBER also offers M.Phil at the Research level. Admission is either based on merit or an entrance examination.
2. Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal:
The Indian Institute of Forest Management is a sectoral management institute, which constantly endeavors to evolve knowledge useful for the managers in the area of Forest, Environment, and Natural Resources Management and allied sectors. It disseminates such knowledge in ways that promote its application by individuals and organizations.
3. Gujarat University (GU) was established in 1949. The university is located in the state of Gujarat. It is a government-owned co-ed university. Gujarat University Ahmedabad has been approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has been accredited by NAAC. The total student population of the university is more than 3000 and the total number of faculty members is more than 100. Gujarat University admissions are offered to 77 courses. The university offers admissions to courses at multiple levels. These are the UG, PG, and post-PG levels.
4. UP Rajarshi Tandon Open University, Allahabad:
UP Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU), Allahabad was established in 1999, with an objective to provide a quality education through distance mode to the large section of the population of the state of Uttar Pradesh. 5. National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai:
National Institute of Industrial Engineering, formerly National Institute for Training in Industrial Engineering, is a graduate business school under the Ministry of HRD, Government of India located in Powai near Vihar Lake in Mumbai, and was ranked 12ᵗʰ among B-Schools of India as per NIRF 2020 rankings.
6. Singhania University, Jhunjhunu:
The University has been established by the Govt. of Rajasthan, under Ordinance 6 of 2007. It is a UGC-recognized university as per Sec. 2f of the UGC Act 1956. 7. Amity Institute of Environmental Science (AIES) :
It is an interdisciplinary center of learning, established as a part of Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida. This institute is currently running two Masters’ Programmes, viz. M.Sc. (Environmental Sciences) and M.Sc (EHS&M). One objective at AIES is to develop this Institute as a ‘Centre of Excellence in the field of Environmental Science and Technology. Apart from education, the institute intends to impart special training to students who can handle the emerging environmental various problems faced by the industries and the society on both the technological and environmental fronts. The academic programs of the institute are reviewed/revised periodically and updated, keeping in mind the need for the changes desired in the curriculum like new courses or upgrading of individual courses or introduction of specific programmes.
8. Global Open University, Dimapur:
The Global Open University, Nagaland (A State University established by the Government of Nagaland) has been legislated by the Nagaland State Legislative Assembly under The Global Open University Act 2006 (Act 3 of 2006) which received the assent of the Governor of Nagaland on 30th August 2006 and was notified vide Notification number Law/Act-10/2006 on 18th September 2006. The provisions of The Global Open University Act 2006 were published in the Nagaland Official Gazette on 18th September 2006 for general information.
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), established by an Act of Parliament in 1985, has continuously striven to build an inclusive knowledge society through inclusive education. It has tried to increase the Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) by offering high-quality teaching through the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode.
The University began by offering two academic programs in 1987, i.e., Diploma in Management and Diploma in Distance Education, with a strength of 4,528 students.
Today, it serves the educational aspirations of over 3 million students in India and other countries through 21 Schools of Studies and a network of 67 Regional Centres, around 2,000 Learner Support Centres, and 20 overseas institutions. The University offers about 200 certificate, diploma, degree, and doctoral programs, with a strength of nearly 250 faculty members and 230 academic staff at the headquarters and regional centers and over 35,000 academic counselors from conventional institutions of higher learning, professional organizations, and industry among others.
10. Bharathidasan University:
Established in the year 2005, the Department of Environmental Sciences and Management (formerly Dept. of Environmental Management) has made significant strides in academic education, research, and outreach programs. The genesis of the Department overlies the core principles of holistic approaches to sustainable development. Since its inception, the department has been focusing on multidisciplinary and interconnected scientific linkages to trace the environmental processes, ecosystem degradation, impacts of development on environmental components, and the future challenges including ecosystem resilience. To realize the vision, in the year 2006, MBA in Environmental Management was introduced encompassing the concepts of planet, people and profit. The MBA was recognized and funded under UGC innovative program during 2008-2012. Till date, more than 200 environmental professionals have been successfully placed in various sectors including multinational corporate companies, urban governance, research organizations, academia, NGOs and outreach programs across India and abroad.
