1.IIT:-
The history of this IIT system goes back to 1946, when the Executive Council under Sir Jogendra Singh established a committee to explore the setting up of higher technical institutions for industrial growth in India after the war. The IIT system was established in 1946. In accordance with the Institute of Technology in Massachusetts with associated secondary colleges, the 22 members of the committee led by Nalini Ranjan Sarkar have suggested development in several regions of India of such institutions.
